JACKSON TOWNSHIP — One of Ocean County’s biggest annual community celebrations is marking a major milestone this summer. Jackson Day returns on Sunday, August 23, from 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Johnson Park (192 Kierych Memorial Drive) for its 50th anniversary, promising a full day of family fun, live entertainment, and hometown pride. (Rain date: August 30.)

This year’s golden‑anniversary event is packed with attractions for all ages — and one of the biggest highlights is a FREE Six Flags Great Adventure admission ticket for every child 12 and under, available while supplies last. Families can also enjoy Fright Fest Zombie makeup demonstrations, Wild Safari critter interactions, and live music and performances throughout the day.

Local radio favorite 94.3 The Point will broadcast live from the park, adding to the festival atmosphere. More than 100 vendors will line the grounds with crafts, food, and local goods, while adults can unwind in the Beer Garden.

Sports fans can join the action with a 3‑on‑3 Basketball Tournament and a Cornhole Tournament, both open to participants of all skill levels. The Jackson Township High School Football Team Gift Auction will also take place, offering great prizes and supporting local athletes.

Food trucks, games, community groups, and special anniversary surprises round out the celebration — making this year’s Jackson Day one of the biggest in its 50‑year history.
