Guests at Soul Kitchen restaurants have two options: either they can pay a minimum of $20 for a three-course meal, which goes toward paying diners' meals, or they can choose not to. Those who are unable to pay are invited to eat while learning how to volunteer at the establishments. The B.E.A.T. Center, which also contains a branch of Fulfill, formerly the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, the Peoples Pantry, and other neighborhood groups, is home to the Toms River Soul Kitchen at 1769 Hooper Avenue.
