The Ocean County Sheriff's Office and Manchester Township police say a motor vehicle accident closed Route 37 in both directions near Colonial Drive on Tuesday afternoon, causing delays in the region.

According to Manchester police, the road is closed in both directions from Buckingham Drive to Lakehurst Circle, and Colonial Drive is also closed.

"Please use Brown Avenue (Lakehurst) onto State Highway 37 East if you need to pick up a student from Manchester Township High School," Manchester police said.
