In Memory Of: Melissa Ann Martinez, 39, of Toms River

Melissa Ann Martinez 39, of Toms River, NJ passed away on January 3rd, 2023.

Melissa Ann Martinez is survived by her husband, David, her 3 children, Anthony, Ethan and Emma, and her grandson Jamie.

Her parents, Rita Reinhardt (nee Smith) and Bernd Heinzmann, twin sister, Angela Heinzmann, and her brothers, Bernd Heinzmann and Andrew Heinzmann.

Melissa grew up in Jersey City, NJ where she would make many memories and friends. As a child, Melissa would wish Angie and she were identical; being able to confuse people would have been great. They were a team, they should really look alike. She really wanted the closet from Clueless and swore she was going to have it one day.

They would welcome a third sister into their team, Dana. The trio were inseparable. Wherever one went, the other two were not far behind. Watching Dirty Dancing on repeat, arguing about who was going to marry Patrick Swayze, listening and singing to Ace of Base, Spice Girls, and of course N’Sync, Missi, Angie and Dana were going to be the next BIG HIT! Sadly, we did not get any record deals.

She would also meet the love of her life, her husband, David. From the moment they met, she knew he was the one for her. When she would talk about him, her eyes would light up. As young adults, Melissa and Dave would welcome their first baby boy, Anthony. Melissa was ecstatic to be a first time mother.

Anthony was her world. She could not wait to see all the great things he would do. A few short years later, they would welcome their second baby boy, Ethan. She was over the moon when he was born. Anthony would now have a lifelong friend to share his memories with. Then she found out she was having her baby girl, Emma. She was so excited to be able to do all the girly things with her. Melissa loved being a mom. She loved being a wife. And above all, she loved her family.

Melissa will forever be in our hearts and memories. Rest easy Melissa, we love and miss you tremendously.

A visitation for Melissa will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753.
