Lower Township resident McFadden was reported missing on May 1. On April 30, Wall police reported finding his abandoned automobile on the Garden State Parkway's shoulder.
McFadden met with Manasquan police the night his automobile was discovered as part of a welfare check after they observed him standing outside in a downpour.
According to authorities, McFadden, who went by the name "Corey Samuels," declined their help.
According to McFadden's father, Pat McFadden, he left his wallet and cell phone at home before going missing. His coworkers initially reported him missing on Monday morning, the day following the interaction with the Manasquan police officer.
