According to the National Weather Service, New Jersey will be dry during the daytime for New Years Eve, but a period of moderate to heavy showers will pass through during the evening mainly after 5 PM.

Most areas should be dry by around midnight, but some showers may linger, especially north of I-78.

Some rumbles of thunder and gusty winds possible. Drying out for New Years Day and becoming windy.
