NJ Future Forecast: Expect the Unexpected This April with Changing Weather Patterns

Is the weather in New Jersey during April expected to include warm temperatures and frequent showers, the type that, as the adage indicates, result in May flowers? Initial forecasts indicate significant temperature fluctuations and a soggy beginning to the month.

According to long-range predictors from the Climate Prediction Center, which is connected to the National Weather Service, there is a strong possibility that the first week of April will experience above-average temperatures in the New Jersey area.
Regarding the remainder of April, the agency indicates that there are no definite signs about whether temperatures in the Garden State will be near, above, or below the average.

In early April, there is a small risk of more rainfall than usual. However, the Climate Prediction Center states that the amount of rain we receive after that is less certain.

According to meteorologist Steven DiMartino, who runs the Monmouth County-based NY NJ PA Weather forecasting business, April will be a roller coaster ride with significant temperature variations.

Daily temperatures might vary greatly since April is a transitional month when the winter frost is still receding and warmer air is pressing in as spring advances.

Early April daytime highs in New Jersey often reach the upper 50s, and as the spring season progresses, they usually reach the upper 60s.
According to data from the National Weather Service, New Jersey typically receives nearly 4 inches of precipitation (mostly rain, though some melted snow is possible) in the northern region, roughly 3.5 inches in the central region, and slightly more than 3 inches in the southern region during the whole month of April.

April is traditionally one of the driest months of the year in New Jersey, despite its reputation as a wet month. Check the upcoming forecast.
