NJ’s Weekend Weather: Brace for Nor’Easter!

Showers Expected in NJ

Seventh Weekend of Rainy Weather in NJ

A change in the forecast may bring a developing nor'easter into the area sooner than anticipated, and it might be possible to save the rest of the weekend.

The continuous downpour is expected to arrive in the Garden State today and last through early Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service. The change is a result of a sweep of dry air that forecasts predict will stop the rain from southwest to northeast in this area on Saturday.

Today is expected to be the wettest day and there may be scattered urban flooding. According to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Adam Douty, a few thunderstorms are also anticipated, particularly Friday afternoon.

The National Weather Service also stated that rain will start to fall on Friday during the day and intensify into Saturday. Before the storm system dissipates on Saturday, strong winds are anticipated.
