Ocean County Crash: Driver Ejected

According to Police, in a Tuesday afternoon single-car collision, a man was hurt after being ejected from his vehicle. Authorities received many 911 reports of a single car crash on Dover Road near the Lacey Township border at approximately 3:51 p.m.

The driver, a 49-year-old man, was lying on the road after being thrown from the heavily damaged passenger side of a Ford F-150.

Along with paramedics, Berkeley Township EMS also arrived, according to the police.

The man was entering Lacey Township while traveling south on Dover Road. After veering off the road and colliding with multiple trees near the wooded area, he was forced from the passenger side of the vehicle.

According to the police, the motorist sustained head damage in the collision but was conscious when they arrived on the scene. MEDEVAC transported him to Robert Wood Johnson for additional assessment. He currently has injuries that are not life-threatening, according to the police.

The crash is currently under investigation by Officer Bulwinski of the Berkeley Township Traffic Safety Bureau.
