Ocean County Father of Four Dies in Construction Accident at School

The victim of Monday's construction mishap in Clifton was identified as a Manahawkin man.

When a boom lift with a bucket on the front was being removed from a flatbed truck, Vincent "Vinny" Trotter, 34, of Manahawkin, was killed. The boom lift fell to its side during the process.

A 15,000-square-foot, two-story school is being constructed at 294 Main Ave., according to Clifton municipal documents. There was going to be a use for the equipment. This site is run by a business named Regency Development.

Trotter leaves behind a fiancée and four children, according to a fundraiser organized by Shore Life Churchwhich was established to support the family.
