Conestoga Drive House Fire Deemed Accidental

According to Manchester Police, officers were called to a reported structure fire on Conestoga Drive in the Whiting section of the Township on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at about 5:13 p.m.

Officers arrived and saw smoke pouring from the back of the house. Luckily, everyone inside the house had already left safely.

A number of fire companies from partner jurisdictions were dispatched to the location and began to put out the fire as a result of the combined efforts of the communications divisions of the Manchester Township and the Ocean County Sheriff's Office.

At the time of the occurrence, no injuries had been recorded, and the fire was successfully extinguished. The American Red Cross responded to help individuals in need after the Building Department official declared the house unfit.

After arriving on the site, the Ocean County incident Marshal's Office carried out a preliminary investigation and found that the incident was accidental.
