Ocean County Mall Robbery: $1 Million in Jewelry Stolen

According to Toms River Police Department, on 03/28/2024 at 10:10 AM, Toms River Police officers were dispatched to Venzio Jewelers in the Ocean County Mall regarding a burglary and theft.

Business representatives reported between 03/27/2024 at 8:00PM and 03/28/2024 at 10:00AM unknown suspect(s) entered their store which is located inside the Ocean County Mall.

Entry was made into the rear office area by cutting a hole in the wall of an adjacent empty store.

The suspect(s) cut the phone and alarm cables and apparently used a torch to enter a large safe and remove approximately $1 million dollars’ worth of jewelry.

The scene was processed by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department C.S.I. Division.
