According to Billhimer, a man had gone inside the business, pointed a knife at the clerk, and demanded money. The individual took the cash drawer from the staff, according to Billhimer, and ran away.
After a thorough investigation, police identified the individual as Hurley, who at the time was detained in
Ocean County Jail in Toms River on an unrelated offense, according to Billhimer. On February 25, 2022, he received the extra complaint at the Ocean County Jail, where he is now being held.
