Christopher Hurley, 27, of Little Egg Harbor,

Christopher Hurley, 27, of Little Egg Harbor

According to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, a Little Egg Harbor man confessed robbing a Rite Aid back in 2022 at knifepoint.

According to prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, Christopher Hurley, 27, entered a guilty plea to robbery in relation to the Berkeley incident that occurred on February 5, 2022.

That day, according to Billhimer, police were called to the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Route 9 in response to claims of an armed robbery.

According to Billhimer, a man had gone inside the business, pointed a knife at the clerk, and demanded money. The individual took the cash drawer from the staff, according to Billhimer, and ran away.

After a thorough investigation, police identified the individual as Hurley, who at the time was detained in Ocean County Jail in Toms River on an unrelated offense, according to Billhimer. On February 25, 2022, he received the extra complaint at the Ocean County Jail, where he is now being held.

On June 7, 2024, Hurley will be sentenced. The state has asked for 12 years in New Jersey State Prison, with the No Early Release Act applied.
