Lakehurst Woman Killed on GSP
In the morning of June 6, 2023, on the Garden State Parkway, a Lakehurst woman was killed after colliding with crash debris, according to the New Jersey State Police.
Around 5:30 a.m. at milepost 85.7 of the Parkway, Elaina S. Clarke, 46, was traveling south in a Chevrolet Equinox when she struck a wheel from a Ford F-250 that had crashed earlier, according to Trooper II Charles Marchan.
After striking the wheel, the Chevrolet veered off the road and struck the Ford's rear, which was disabled on the median and empty, killing Clarke, according to him.
The amount of time between the Ford F-250 collision and the moment Clarke came upon the wreckage was not specified by
state police.
Marchan stated there was no new information available and that the collision was still being investigated.
