Search Continues for Brick Resident

The neighborhood where 21-year-old Derek Narby lives and works is upended as dive teams continue to search for him. He has been missing since his family's boat capsized on Thursday.

According to the Asbury Park Press, Derek Narby worked at Lenny's Colonial Ranch Market in Point Pleasant for the past three years in between college classes.  The owner, Brandan Arms, hung a fishermans's lantern in his market so Derek can find his way home, along with a painting that reads "Prayers for Derek, We Love You".

According to Curry of the State Police, the boat broke into pieces, with bits washing ashore at Seaside Heights.

Curry said that the search effort is utilizing sonar scans in addition to divers from the State Police T.E.A.M.S. Unit.

A GoFundMe has been organized by Joseph Walsh-Kistner who hopes to raise money to help the family.
