Pet Sitter Wanted for $100,000 Jewelry Theft from Client. Have You Seen Him?

According to the Evesham Police Department, a couple is charged with breaking into a residence in Evesham last month and taking jewels valued at $100,000.

Evesham police officers were called to the 30 block of Old Republic Lane on December 15, 2023, in response to a report of a break-in at a residence and jewelry theft. The victim said that while they were out of town, an unknown a person broke into their house and took jewelry valued at about $100,000.

After being called to the house, investigators from the Evesham Investigative Bureau examined the scene of the incident. After a thorough investigation, Catherine Walton and Nicholas Eye were named as the two suspects.

The victim paid Walton and Eye to look after their dogs while they were out of town.

Walton was located and arrested without incident. Walton was charged with theft. Eye was charged with theft and receiving stolen property but has not yet been located. Walton was lodged in Burlington County Correctional Facility pending her first appearance in Superior Court. Eye’s location is currently unknown and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Evesham Police Department are also seeking to identify anyone who has hired Walton and/or Eye to care for their pets while they were away, as they may be potential victims.
