ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, NJ — New Jersey State Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle and driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian Wednesday morning in Warren County.
According to investigators, the crash occurred on October 29 at approximately 7:56 a.m. at the intersection of Old Hackettstown Road and Puffer Road in Allamuchy Township.

State Police said an unidentified white passenger vehicle was traveling northbound on Old Hackettstown Road when it approached the intersection. At the same time, a school bus was stopped with its red flashing lights activated and stop arm extended.
Authorities say the driver failed to stop for the school bus and struck an adult female pedestrian who was crossing the roadway.
The woman suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
After the collision, the driver allegedly fled the scene without stopping. Investigators determined the vehicle continued from the intersection, turning left onto Johnsonburg Road and then left onto County Road 613.
Troopers believe the suspect vehicle is a white sedan displaying a Pennsylvania license plate.
The investigation remains active as authorities work to identify the driver and vehicle involved.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information that could assist investigators is asked to contact New Jersey State Police Troop B, Hope Station at 908-459-5098.
State Police are urging anyone who may have been traveling in the area at the time of the incident, including motorists with dashboard camera footage, to come forward as investigators continue their search for the driver responsible.
