Ocean County Breaking News
Brick Township — A months-long narcotics investigation led by the Brick Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit (SCU) and the Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force (OCNSF) culminated in the arrest of two Ocean County residents and the seizure of a significant quantity of methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, cash, and drug distribution materials, authorities announced.

According to Brick Township Police, the coordinated operation took place on Monday, June 29, 2026, following an extensive investigation into large-scale methamphetamine distribution throughout Ocean County. Detectives identified Michael Casey, of Toms River, as a major supplier operating within the region.
Investigators obtained thirteen court-authorized search warrants connected to Casey’s alleged trafficking network. SCU and OCNSF detectives conducted surveillance on Casey, locating him on June 29 and taking him into custody without incident. He was transported to Brick Police Headquarters for processing.
Simultaneously, detectives executed two residential search warrants — one in Brick Township and one in Toms River — along with warrants for one storage unit and three vehicles. The operation was supported by Toms River Emergency Services Unit (ESU), Brick Township Special Emergency Response Team (SERT), and patrol units from both towns.
