According to Toms River Police Department, following a collision on Indian Hill Road on Friday that took down a power pole and caused traffic to be halted for many hours, a lady from Toms River has been charged with driving under the influence, according to Toms River police.

According to Jillian Messina, a public relations specialist for the Toms River Police Department, Kimberly Frey, 30, of Toms River, was traveling south on Indian Hill Road at around 1 a.m. on Friday when she failed to negotiate the turn near Carol Drive and collided with a power pole.

Before coming to a halt, she struck two cars in the driveway of a nearby house after hitting the pole, according to Messina.

Her passenger did not report any injuries, and Frey received local treatment for minor wounds, according to her.

According to Messina, Frey was cited for reckless driving, careless driving, and failing to maintain lane in addition to being charged with driving while intoxicated.
