According to News12 New Jersey, the identity of the youngster killed in Point Pleasant Beach on Sunday night by a New Jersey Transit train has been released.
Just one month ago, Raul Cartagena turned fifteen. According to his cousin, he was slated to join the wrestling team as soon as he started his freshman year of high school.
According to NJ Transit, the adolescent was struck at the Forman Avenue crossing by a North Jersey Coast Line train that left Long Branch soon after 3:45 p.m. and was headed for Bay Head.
He was riding a bicycle with pals, but it is unknown how exactly he was hit. He was sent to a hospital right away but perished there.
His friends who are between the ages of 14-16 wanted to help Raul’s family have the funeral he deserves and have set up a
gofundme page.
The nine passengers and personnel on board the train did not sustain any additional injuries, according to reports.
