Record-Breaking Temperatures are Predicted
This weekend is expected to bring potentially record-breaking temperatures to New Jersey. But by the beginning of the next workweek, the short-lived heat will be quickly passing.
According to
Accuweather projections, Friday and Saturday might see highs in the low 80s. Based on Accuweather statistics, that would be the highest high temperature in the area recorded in forty years.
Over the weekend, there may be some precipitation; Sunday is most likely for New Jersey. By the end of this weekend or the beginning of next week, the mid-Atlantic coast may see the expansion of a rainy pattern, according to forecasters.
But the warm air will pass quickly.
By Tuesday, Halloween, colder temperatures will start to move through the area, with daytime highs in the 50s near the coast and in the 40s in the Northeast's core.
According to weather.com, in New Jersey, the high temperature on Halloween is predicted to be in the low 50s.
