Reported Burglary: Homeowners in Toms River Awoke to Two Individuals Opening their Bedroom Door at 2:30 am

According to Toms River Police Department, police were dispatched to a residence on Brower Avenue in Toms River late on December 23rd in response to a report of a break-in that occurred while the residents were asleep the previous evening.

The homeowner reported that they woke up on Saturday morning shortly before 2:30 AM to the sound of two people opening their bedroom door, which is on the second level of their house.

The homeowner provided video surveillance of their home, which showed four individuals exiting a white BMW while wearing face masks and gloves and all black clothing approaching the residence.

Two other suspects tried to break into another vehicle parked in the driveway, but were unable to do so because it was locked. Meanwhile, one suspect broke through the driver side door of the victim's BMW, which was parked in their driveway, and searched inside.

After breaking in, the suspects started going around the house and kitchen. They proceeded upstairs and opened the homeowner's bedroom door before they were scared off by the victims. In a white BMW, the four suspects took off from the scene.
