Ocean County is welcoming a restaurant chain called Salad House, a restaurant company known for its salads and other healthful alternatives.
In Toms River, in the Silverton section of the township, a new shopping center at 1882 Hooper Avenue will house
Salad House in addition to Pizza Hut and AT&T Wireless as tenants. The first Salad House shop south of the Driscoll Bridge on the Garden State Parkway debuted last month in Red Bank.
According to Mario Brunelli, vice president and principle at R.J. Brunelli & Co. in Old Bridge, who represented the landlord in the lease deal, it has leased a 1,917-square-foot storefront at the center. Dina Santarelli of Sabre Life was the representative for Salad House.
According to Brunelli, Salad House compliments the other tenants in the center. He claimed that the area does not have many fast-casual salad businesses. "Those looking for a healthier option can visit Salad House."
Customers at Salad House can create their own salads using different lettuces, grains, and greens. They may add veggies and toppings like crispy wontons, almonds, walnuts, and roasted butternut squash to their selection of 15 proteins, which includes tuna, salmon, and steak.
Joey Cioffi founded The Salad House more than ten years ago with a restaurant in Millburn. He introduced an idea that was common in New York City to the suburbs.
The addition of Red Bank in July brought the total number of Salad House locations in New Jersey to nine. Toms River will be Salad House's first Ocean County restaurant.
The Toms River location is estimated an opening in January 2023.
