Five people were hurt in a school bus accident on the Garden State Parkway on Tuesday, according to New Jersey State Police. The bus and a Lexus collided causing the school bus to flip over.
The two cars collided near milepost 69.1 in Waretown, driving south, just after 3 p.m., according to Det. Jeffrey Lebron.
According to police, three children, a school assistant, and the bus driver all had minor injuries and were brought to a nearby hospital for assessment. No further injuries were reported.
Three students from the Southern Regional School District who attend the special education Rugby School at Woodfield in Neptune City were reportedly riding the bus, according to The Patch.
