Individual With Gunshot Wound
According to Jackson Police Department on September 13, 2022 they responded to a report of a person with a gunshot wound, patrol officers went to a home on Jackson Mills Road closer to the Freehold boundary.
When they arrived, they found a man who had self-inflicted gunshot wounds. He was still alive and transferred to the hospital for treatment, but succumbed to his injuries.
There is no cause to believe that there was foul play or that a criminal was committed in connection with this incident at this time. The general public is not in danger, and none of the township's schools have ever been put on lockdown.
The investigation into this occurrence is still ongoing, and the next of kin has not yet been informed.
