Ocean County Commissioners Recognize Six OCVTS Students for Prestigious NJAC Foundation Scholarships

TOMS RIVER — The Ocean County Board of Commissioners honored six outstanding Ocean County Vocational Technical School (OCVTS) students during its July 29 Board meeting, celebrating their achievements as recipients of competitive scholarships awarded through the New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) Foundation.

The NJAC Foundation partners with major corporations and organizations to support county vocational‑technical and county college students across New Jersey, providing innovative educational opportunities that help strengthen the state’s future workforce.

This year’s Ocean County honorees include:

• Meadow Fuller — NJAC Foundation Amazon.com Scholarship
• Jake Martinez — NJAC Foundation AT&T Scholarship
• Sofie Lim — NJAC Foundation American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey (ACECNJ) Foundation Scholarship
• Samantha Gonzalez — NJAC Foundation Investors Foundation/Citizens Bank Scholarship
• Jillian Aguiar — NJAC Foundation Investors Foundation/Citizens Bank Scholarship
• Ivan Svabenik — NJAC Foundation SHI International Corp. Scholarship

Joining the students at the recognition ceremony were members of the Ocean County Board of Commissioners — Director Frank Sadeghi, Deputy Director Jennifer Bacchione, Commissioner Robert Arace, Commissioner Sam Ellenbogen, and Commissioner Ray Gormley — along with NJAC Legislative Director Allen Weston.
