APRIL 2022 STRPD POLICE BLOTTER

STOLEN VEHICLE – On Friday April 1st, Patrolman Dan Primavera and Officer Dovydas Jackevicius responded to a business on Flint Road for the report of a stolen trailer. During the investigation, it was discovered a trailer belonging to the owner of the business was stolen off the property during overnight hours.

On Saturday April 2nd, Patrolman Garrett Stratton and Sergeant Tom Femiano responded to a residence on South Main Street for the report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, officers discovered the suspicious vehicle to be the trailer from the aforementioned incident. Ptl. Stratton made contact with the individual in possession of the trailer, a 46-year-old Jackson man, and placed him under arrest for possession of stolen property. The man was taken into custody, processed, and transported to Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing. The trailer was then returned to its rightful owner.

WARRANT ARREST – On Friday April 8th, Patrolman Jaden Kosh conducted a motor vehicle stop on Center Street. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of the driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old Toms River man, on the strength of an outstanding warrant out of Toms River. The man was taken into custody, processed, then turned over to Toms River PD for further processing.

WARRANT ARREST – On Sunday April 10th, Patrolman Jaden Kosh encountered a suspicious vehicle on Citadel Court. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of the vehicle’s occupant, a 30-year-old South Toms River man, on the strength of an outstanding warrant out of Beachwood. The man was taken into custody, processed, then turned over to Beachwood PD for further processing.

WARRANT ARREST – On Tuesday April 12th, Patrolman Muhammad Ali responded to the Manchester Township Police Headquarters to assist with a prisoner in their custody. The prisoner, a 32-year-old South Toms River man, was held on a warrant out of South Toms River. The man was taken into custody by Ptl. Ali then transported to Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

ASSAULT – On Tuesday April 12th, Patrolman Muhammad Ali responded to Community Medical Center for the report of an assault which occurred in South Toms River. A follow up investigation by our Detective Bureau led to the arrest of an 18-year-old Manchester man for aggravated assault. The man was taken into custody, processed, and transported to Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

WARRANT ARREST – On Wednesday April 13th, Patrolman Jaden Kosh conducted a motor vehicle stop on South Main Street. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of the driver of the vehicle, a 33-year-old Toms River man, on the strength of an outstanding warrant out of Beachwood. The man was taken into custody, processed, then released pending a future court date with Beachwood PD

WARRANT ARREST – On Saturday April 16th, Patrolman Jaden Kosh encountered a suspicious vehicle on Charles Avenue. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of the vehicle’s occupant, a 39-year-old South Toms River man, on the strength of an outstanding warrant out of Jersey City. The man was taken into custody, processed, then turned over to Jersey City PD for further processing.

WARRANT ARREST – On Saturday April 16th, Patrolman Jaden Kosh and Patrolman Muhammad Ali responded to a residence on Baylor Street for the report of a disturbance. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of an 18-year-old South Toms River man on the strength of outstanding warrants out of South Toms River. The man was taken into custody, processed, then transported to Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

WARRANT ARREST – On Saturday April 16th, Patrolman Garrett Stratton and Sergeant Anthony Giacinti responded to Magnolia Avenue for the report of a suspicious person. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of a 59-year-old Berkeley Township man on the strength of an outstanding warrant out of Lakewood Township. The man was taken into custody, processed, then released pending a future court date with Lakewood Township.

WARRANT ARREST – On Thursday April 21st, Patrolman Jaden Kosh responded to the Manville Township Police Headquarters to assist with a prisoner in their custody. The prisoner, a 37-year-old South Toms River woman, was held on a warrant out of South Toms River. The woman was taken into custody by Ptl. Kosh then transported to Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

ASSAULT – On Friday April 29th, Patrolman Garrett Stratton and Sergeant Anthony Giacinti responded to the Beach Club (470 Brook Forest Drive) for the report of a fight in progress. Multiple victims sustained stab wounds, and a weapon was recovered from the scene. Ocean County C.S.I. assisted our Detective Bureau with the on-scene investigation. This incident is still under investigation.
