Motor Vehicle Crash Investigation
According to Jackson Police Department, Officers and emergency personnel responded to South Hope Chapel Road near the intersection of Primrose Lane on the complaint of a pedestrian struck by a car at 8:23 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022.
Responding authorities discovered a teenaged girl Jackson resident who had been struck while crossing the road by a 2009 Hyundai driven by a 29-year-old male Manchester resident. The female was reportedly injured in the event and was taken by ambulance to Jackson Liberty High School, where she was subsequently evacuated by medi-vac to a local hospital for treatment.
The female was struck by the vehicle while crossing the road at the plaza at the corner of Whitesville and South Hope Chapel Roads, according to the preliminary inquiry. At the time, impairment was not thought to be a factor.
