USA Baseball Announces Award Winners for 2021

The winners of USA Baseball's annual organizational awards have been announced, honoring the best athletes, coaches, and performances from the 2021 national teams.

Among the many well deserved winners, there is one winner that stands out in Toms River, Todd Frazier. Frazier, a Rutgers alum and Little League World Series hero from Toms River, N.J was named International Performance of the Year after assisting Team USA in securing a spot in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, while John Fierro was selected Service Provider of the Year after working as the team's Certified Athletic Trainer for the ninth time.

After earning the silver medal in the Olympic Games, the Olympic Team was named Team of the Year by USA Baseball.

Todd Frazier of the Olympic Qualifying Team won the International Performance of the Year title for 2021 after his flawless 4-for-4 performance against Venezuela secured Team USA's spot in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Frazier energized Team USA on the field and at the plate, starting a 5-3 double-play that stopped a Venezuela threat in the first inning. In each of his four at-bats, he had a hit and was involved in every scoring play for Team USA. In the 4-2 triumph, he came home on Eric Filia's two-run home run, blasted an RBI double in the fifth inning, and smashed a game-winning home run in the seventh inning, driving in the final two US runs of the night.
