Toms River Driver In Critical Condition After Route 70 Crash

Man Critical in Manchester Accident

Toms River Man Hospitalized

According to Manchester Police Department, a man from Toms River was injured in a collision on Route 70 in Manchester on Thursday and was taken to the hospital in severe condition on Friday.

After the accident, which occurred just before 4:45 p.m., Daniel Dobos, 45, who suffered internal injuries in the collision, was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Lt. Christopher Hemhauser of Manchester stated that on Thursday.

Dobos was waiting to turn onto Ridgeway Road (Route 571) south in a silver 2016 Acura TLX while traveling in the left-turn lane of Route 70 west. Py Kaung, 24, of Brick was operating a red 2017 Ford Mustang traveling east on Route 70 when, according to Hemhauser, the Acura started to make a left turn onto Ridgeway Road as the Mustang approached the intersection.

According to Hemhauser, the force of the collision forced the Mustang to spin 90 degrees before colliding with the front driver's side of the Acura. The Mustang then came to rest at the intersection facing north. Additionally turning 90 degrees, the Acura stopped in the junction looking south.

According to Hemhauser, neither driver was hurt in the collision, and Kaung was on her own at the time.
