As of Tuesday afternoon, the Ocean County Sheriff's Office reported that a car collision that resulted in the collapse of a pole is now causing delays in Toms River.

As of 3 p.m. on August 15, officials reported that Bay Avenue has been closed between Cedar Grove and Tunesbrook due to the toppled pole on Bay Avenue near Twin Oaks.

Officials do not know the duration of the shutdown.
