Tragic Discovery: 75-Year-Old Woman's Body Found on NJ Highway

Authorities reported that on Sunday morning, a hit-and-run driver on Interstate 295 in Burlington County struck and killed a 75-year-old New Jersey lady who had gone missing.

Around 8:15 a.m., State Police reported that Yvrose Germain was struck on the northbound side close to milepost 46.8 in Burlington Township.

Germain, a resident of Willingboro, was declared deceased on the spot. State Police said that the incident is still being investigated and failed to comment on whether Germain was in a lane of travel or on the shoulder.

Furthermore, it wasn't immediately apparent why she was strolling beside the highway.

Germain was reported missing from her house on Saturday by Willingboro police.

Willingboro police said, "We send our sincere condolences to her friends, family, and loved ones during this difficult time." "We would like to express our gratitude to the community for their support and help throughout the search."
