Tragic Discovery: 76-Year-Old New Jersey Man Found Dead Along Delaware River

NJ State Police, reported that a man's body was discovered on Friday afternoon next to the Delaware River in a municipal park near the south end of the city of Trenton.

According to State Police, the guy was recognized by investigators as Jeffrey Defrehn Sr., 76, a resident of Ringoes in Hunterdon County. According to State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, Defrehn's death is being investigated, and as of Monday, no other information was available.

Lebron stated that the cause was still unknown on Monday.

According to Lebron, the body was discovered at the Marine Terminal Park off of Lamberton Street, on the riverbank. The Trenton Sewer Utility is near to the park, which is located in an industrial area. Route 29 can be used to get there.

The body was found along the riverfront on Friday at 6:37 p.m., prompting the dispatch of troopers to the park.

On Monday, it was unknown how the body was discovered.

Police are still investigating.
