Tragic Loss: Beloved Dog Perishes in Beachwood House Blaze
According to Beachwood Volunteer Fire Department, following a Saturday afternoon home fire in Beachwood, a family dog perished.
At 12:10 p.m., the Beachwood Fire Department reportedly responded to the fire in the 200 block of Longboat Avenue.
The house was confirmed to be on fire by the first police officers to arrive.
Additionally, Pine Beach, Manitou Park, Pinewald, and Bayville crews helped fight the fire.
No casualties were recorded after the fire was swiftly contained by crews.
The dog was saved from the house by firefighters, but it subsequently passed away.
Additionally, South Toms River EMS and Beachwood EMS arrived at the scene.
