UPDATE: Murphy is Gaining Ground in the Governor’s Race, but it’s Still Too Close to Call
Who Will It Be?
New Jerseyans were still waiting to find out who will be their new governor the morning after the polls closed Tuesday night, with the contest too close to call.
And there isn't going to be any settlement anytime soon.
The results kept coming in late into the night and into the morning on Wednesday. Around midnight, both Gov. Phil Murphy and Republican rival Jack Ciattarelli addressed to their supporters, telling them it was too early to declare victory, but that they intended to do so soon.
According to The Associated Press, Murphy is currently leading by barely 1,400 votes in the governor's contest.
The Associated Press has not declared a winner in the race as votes were still being tallied. (Nov. 3)
