Weather Alert: Severe Storms Approaching NJ
Accorridng to National Weather Service, as we move through the evening (mostly after 8 PM), a line of showers and storms is forming to our west and will be rushing in.
The afternoon is comparatively calm, but as this system approaches, there will be a period of continuous rain and embedded downpours. Particularly as the line keeps together going east, some storms could be powerful with strong winds and short bursts of heavy rain. After this passes, Monday will see considerably cooler and windier weather.
Damage-causing wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour are possible in isolated severe storms.
The spring fever will subside by Monday, and before our next rainmaker shows up later in the week, a colder, breezy pattern should take hold. There may still be some residual rain, so pack an umbrella for early Monday morning.
Keep up-to-date with the latest
forecast.
