Wunder Wiener’s Grand Re-Opening: A Delicious Comeback

Wunder Wiener's Grand Re-Opening: A Delicious Comeback

After being destroyed five years ago, the renowned hot dog stand on Route 9 is now reopened.

Gerald LaCrosse announced that he'll be back in the window on September 16 and 17 from noon to 4 p.m. after encountering numerous obstacles, some huge and others small.

Wunder Wiener is now situated at 108 Atlantic City Boulevard, in the vacant lot between Blackbeard's Cave and Fuller Marina, following its destruction in a collision that left owner Gerald LaCrosse with serious injuries.

The same made-to-order treats will be available at the kiosk, including Italian-style hot dogs, French fries, cheesesteaks, and sausage sandwiches.

LaCrosse had wanted to reopen the well-liked stand in the intervening years, but his recovery and then the epidemic prevented it. Dealing with permits and such issues made things more difficult.

Make sure to swing by this weekend when Wunder Wiener, which has spent years refurbishing, makes its triumphant return to the Bayville neighborhood. If you want to indulge in some of Bayville's finest Italian hot dogs and support a neighborhood establishment than visit Wunder Weiner today.

Jerry Lacrosse, owner of Bayville Wunder Weiner and Councilman for Beachwood, was injured while inside the trailer and airlifted to JSUMC via Monoc 1 on June 11, 2018. After this horrible accident, the community came together to help raise money for the LaCrosse family and Mr. LaCrosse always said Der Wunder Weiner will be built again.
