Todd Frazier, Toms River Native, boarded a flight to Tokyo last week to represent the United States baseball team in the 2020 Olympics.

His journey began as a kid who played on the Toms River East American Little League All-Star team that won the New Jersey State Championship and then the US East Regional Championship, to advance to the 1998 Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. SEASON SUMMARY PER USA BASEBALL

Todd Frazier was drafted 34th overall in the first round of the 2007 MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds and has played in 1,231 Major League games across 10 seasons with five different organizations.

MLB: A two-time All-Star (2014, 2015), Frazier has a career .242/.319/.448 slash line with 218 career home runs. In 2012, the Toms River, New Jersey, native finished third in NL Rookie of the Year voting after posting a .273 batting average, hitting 19 home runs, and collecting 67 RBIs in his first full season with the Reds. In his 11-year Major League career, Frazier amassed 640 RBIs and drew 438 walks. During his 2015 All-Star season, Frazier recorded a career-best 43 doubles while hitting .255 with 35 home runs and 89 RBIs for Cincinnati. With the Chicago White Sox in 2016, he topped those numbers when he launched 40 home runs and recorded 98 RBIs. Frazier most recently split time with the Texas Rangers and New York Mets during the 2020 season, playing in 45 games and finishing the season with a .236 batting average.

USA Baseball: Frazier is a three-time Team USA alum, having played on the 2006 Collegiate National Team and the 2010 Professional National Team, as well as in the WBSC Baseball Americas Qualifier. Frazier won a gold medal in his first stint in the red, white, and blue with the Collegiate National Team at the 2006 FISU World University Champions, collecting a .224 average (17-for-76) with 14 runs scored, three home runs, and nine RBIs that summer. In 2010, he helped the U.S. qualify for the 2011 Pan American Games after hitting .313 (10-for-32) in nine games with the Professional National Team.
