Aims To Help Homeless Veterans
According to the Mayor of Point Pleasant Beach, he is bringing back the Point Beach Cares concert on May 13th, live at Jenkinsons!!!
The Point Beach Cares event in March 2022, hundreds of people showed up to support initiatives to help refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine.
The event, which was put together in a couple of weeks, raised $200,000 for relief efforts in Ukraine.
In response to that reception, the concert will return in 2023. This time, they want to raise $150,000 to help veterans who are homeless.
Proceeds from the event, which is scheduled for Saturday, May 13 at Jenkinson's Pavilion, will benefit Soldier On, a private nonprofit organization that assists individual veterans by providing a range of need-based solutions, such as emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent housing. It offers immediate support services as well as short-term financial aid.
