Estimated Two Week Closure
Beginning Monday, June 13, 2022, traffic on the J. Stanley Tunney Bridge from Seaside Heights will be reduced to one lane for priority deck repairs, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The work will begin on Monday and run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday through June 23, according to the state Department of Transportation.
While NJDOT's contractor PKF-Mark III completes the repairs, the right two lanes will be closed. The eastbound Mathis Bridge on Route 37 will be unaffected.
This work is part of a $9.6 million Drawbridge Preventative Maintenance Contract that covers the whole state. All traffic pattern modifications linked with the construction are being announced in advance to the general public via message signs.
Weather and other circumstances can cause the exact time of the work to change.
