Rebecca Chiafullo of Jackson
Rebecca Chiafullo, a resident of Jackson township, has been hard at work this summer in Hollywood, California, working at what other professionals in her sector might refer to as a dream job.
The young
Jackson Liberty High School alumnus will be a senior at Hofstra University's Lawrence Herbert School of Communications this fall with a major in film and television.
She is one of just 40 students chosen nationwide for the summer 2022 session of the prestigious Television Academy Foundation Internship program.
The Foundation's yearly internship program offered college students across the country eight-week paid internships at prestigious Hollywood studios and production businesses. She worked as a post-production intern in editing at Geiger Post in Hollywood.
The internship program also offers specialized seminars on developing a personal brand and navigating the job market to participating students, as well as professional development workshops with professionals in the television business.
Additionally, interns join the Foundation's alumni for life, allowing them access to events and networking opportunities as they advance their professional careers.
