The Toms River Animal Facility is dedicated to helping every pet find a good home. Our goal is "recovery” to nurture back to health, not euthanasia for animals that come to us injured, neglected, or abused.

The staff are responsible for all daily operations including administrative, cleaning/feeding all animals, adoptions, reclaims, owner relinquishments as well as animal control.

We are not just about laws and paperwork. We strive to provide the best care possible while in the pursuit of finding our animal friends’ homes. We are one of only four remaining municipally run shelters in the state of New Jersey and have the passion, commitment and assistance from our community to accomplish our mission.

Goals:

• Prevent cruelty to animals.

• Provide quality homes for animals through our adoption program.

• Promote respect and compassion for all creatures through

humane education.

• Provide shelter and care for homeless and unwanted animals.

• Relieve the suffering of all animals.
