Family of Four Found Dead
According to the Plainsboro Police Department a mother and father from New Jersey and their two young children were discovered dead in their house. Police are looking into the case as a possible homicide.
After 4:30 p.m., Tej Pratap Singh, 43, and Sonal Parihar, 42, were discovered dead in their Plainsboro home along with their son, 10, and daughter, 6. The
Plainsboro Police Department reported on Wednesday.
The event "remains under investigation," the department said, though the deaths of the family are being investigated as homicides.
They said that the family's autopsies would be performed on Thursday.
According to video from
News 12 New Jersey, crime scene tape was still taped around the yard of the family's blue-painted home on Titus Lane as of Thursday morning.
Although the exact cause of death is yet unknown, investigators are looking into the possibility of a murder-suicide. After a worried relative requested a welfare check, the family was located. Singh and Parihar, both IT professionals, were regarded by family members as a "happy couple," and they are currently coping with the unexpected death.
Singh left behind a startled community after being very involved in his community and PTA. As they work through this unfortunate incident, the Plainsboro Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutors Office are both involved in the ongoing investigation.
