Another soggy weekend is expected for the Garden State as a powerful storm that is expected to bring rain to at least two dozen states is expected to dump heavy rain and cause coastal flooding.
Forecasters predict that the 1,600-mile-long storm will sweep through the region by Saturday. According to AccuWeather and the National Weather Service, major cities along the East Coast will get saturated throughout the day, and the rain is predicted to last into Sunday.
Around mid- to late Saturday morning, the rain will start moving into the area from the west to the east, according to NWS forecasters.
Weather Expected for Toms River, NJ
The National Weather Service stated that "Expect steady rain, heavy at times, Saturday afternoon through much of Saturday night before it tapers off early Sunday," adding that the possibility of showers continues into Sunday.
According to AccuWeather, the area will continue to see windy weather through Sunday and into Monday, with daytime highs in the 50s and potentially even as low as the 40s.
