Attempted Murder and Carjacking of Uber Driver in NJ
A man from Leonia is charged with trying to kill his Uber driver during a carjacking.
According to Bergen County Prosecutors Office, 25-year-old Marcus Marson stabbed the 37-year-old driver several times in the head, arm, and shoulder, transforming what should have been a routine Uber ride into a terrifying ordeal.
At approximately 9:15 a.m. on Monday, Marson was arrested in a Fort Lee backyard following the attack.
At the moment, the injured Uber driver is stable and recovering in the hospital.
Marson has been charged with attempted murder, attempted carjacking, aggravated assault, weapons offenses, and resisting arrest.
He was taken into custody by the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office to await his first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
