For the next two nights, New Jersey is under freeze warnings, watches, and frost advisories.

From Sunday night into Monday morning, temperatures in certain areas of northern New Jersey are predicted to fall below freezing.

The National Weather Service predicts a more widespread freeze on Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures falling into the 20s, with the exception of regions closest to the Jersey Shore.

At Newark Liberty International Airport, the daily record low temperature on April 21 is 31 degrees, which was set in 1981, and it may be threatened early on Tuesday.

The highs on Monday will only be in the upper 40s to mid-50s, and the wind will make it feel considerably colder. On Monday, there may be a few light showers of rain or snow.

According to forecasts, the recent period of warm weather has accelerated blooming and greenery, leaving plants especially susceptible to the frost.
With high pressure and highs in the low to mid-50s, Tuesday will continue to be below average.

Wednesday marks the start of a warming trend, with highs in the 60s across much of the state.

With highs in the 60s close to the coast and the mid-60s to close to 70 degrees farther inland, Thursday appears to be the warmest day of the week.

The weather for next weekend is a little uncertain since a possible cold front may bring lower temperatures and the possibility of rain from Friday through Saturday.

If the cooler air arrives next weekend, highs might not be able to reach the mid-50s. Stay up-to-date with the weather forecast.
