He was an avid gardener, enjoyed many rounds of golf with his buddies, and above all else spending time with his family.

One of the things that made Paul happiest was volunteering at the hospital with Goliath as a therapy dog team. Together they visited patients during the holidays, bringing comfort, smiles, and companionship to people who needed it most. That kindness was simply who Paul was.

Paul is reunited in Heaven with his sister Anne B. Keenan, and brother Francis J. McGarry.

He will be forever held and cherished in the hearts of his beloved family, his wife of 18 years, Kimberly (Stewart) McGarry, fur-baby Goliath, sister Jeanne Breckenridge, six brothers: Alfred J. (Linda) McGarry, John FX. (Melody) McGarry, Thomas C. (B. Christine) McGarry, Michael J. (Susan) McGarry, James L. (Christine) McGarry, and Joseph G. (Peggy) McGarry, his father and mother- in-law Rick and Suzanne Stewart, sisters-in-law Sirli McGarry, Kelly Roeger (Rocky), Kate Viggiano (Jamie), Amy Stewart, and brother-in-law William (Karen) Keenan, as well as a wealth of nieces, nephews, loving extended family, and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 3pm to 7pm at the Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 10am at St. Joseph RC Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ.
