A New Jersey man was killed following a crash on the Atlantic City Expressway Saturday night, according to police.
Authorities said 34-year-old
Joseph J. Pagano Jr. of Manahawkin was traveling westbound on the Atlantic City Expressway in Hamilton Township, Atlantic County, when his vehicle became involved in a collision with two other vehicles at approximately 10:15 p.m.
After the initial crash, police said Pagano pulled his vehicle over and exited. He then walked across the westbound lanes and was struck by a Nissan SUV traveling in the left lane. Moments later, a Kia collided with the Nissan.
Pagano suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead. Three passengers riding in the Nissan, along with the Kia driver and two passengers, were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to New Jersey State Police.
