Susan Mitchell Obituary

Susan Mary Mitchell, 72, of Toms River, NJ passed away on June 16, 2026 at her home.

Susan was born in Toms River to Harold and Margaret Mitchell on January 18, 1954. She went to Toms River High School North and graduated in 1972. She worked in Retail, mainly for Caldor and the A&P. She enjoyed dancing, dogs and Coca Cola.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Michelle Chafatelli of Toms River, her son, Dennis Chafatelli of Toms River, 4 grandsons and 2 granddogters.

She is predeceased by her brother, Dennis Mitchell, her father, Harold Mitchell and her mother, Margaret Mitchell Harrison.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the VNA and VNA Hospice, especially, Mae, Vami and Ellen.
